Audi has revealed its new product line up for the Middle East which includes the A5 Sportback, A5 Cabriolet and R8 V10 accompanied by the new Q7, S5 as well the Audi TT RS, a 340bhp version of the Audi TT.

Jeff Mannering, managing director of Audi Middle East, said: "AUDI AG is investing two billion euros annually into new product development, and the last few months have shown clearly that this strategy has been successful. Not only is Audi making strong profits and continuing to hire during tough economic times, but has also become the leading premium brand in Europe and China and is on its way to become the hottest automotive brand in the Middle East."

The new TT RS, sports a turbocharged five-cylinder 2.5-litre engine, which has a long tradition of powering cars like the legendary 'Ur-quattro' rally car. Combined with FSI direct gasoline injection the TT RS produces 250kW (340hp) and 450Nm of torque, yet consumes only 9.2 litres/100 km.

In conjunction with quattro permanent all-wheel drive, Audi magnetic ride adaptive damping and a manual six-speed transmission, the powerful five-cylinder model offers explosive performance, making the compact Audi TT RS - whether the CoupŽ or the Roadster - a purist driving machine.

The TT RS CoupŽ rockets from 0 to 100km/h in 4.6 seconds, the Roadster in 4.7 seconds. Peak torque of 450Nm is available between 1,600 and 5,300rpm, providing tremendous pulling power. Weighing only 1,450 kilogrammes, the CoupŽ boasts a power-to-weight ratio of only 4.3kg per hp, for the Roadster (1,510kg) 4.4kg - the low values are made possible by the extremely lightweight bodies utilising the Audi Space Frame (ASF).
