Britta Tappendorf and her Andalusian Liron took centre stage in the Twin Palms Riding Centre Dressage League's second event of the season, which was sponsored by Re-Cycling for Charity.
Twin Palms has joined forces with the organisation and have installed 14 recycling containers at its premises in Saar.
These containers provided fantastic, though somewhat unusual, markers for the show, causing some of the horses to wonder exactly why there were large wheely bins outside their dressage arena; all said they still performed beautifully.
The largest class of the day was the Novice for Junior and Adult riders, which brought about some truly excellent riding. Winning the juniors category was Natasha Owen riding Duell Time. In the adults it was Zain Al Thawadi and Glasur claiming first place.
In the second class of the day, Elementary, the competition was intense as riders performed an exacting test, and this time it was Britta and Liron, who triumphed.
Although the standard of riding in this class was high, this particular test is extremely hard and requires a huge degree of skill to perform, so well done to all the riders who took part. You all deserved to win.
Britta then went on to claim her second victory of the day in the Medium test, again on Liron, showing us some particularly awesome riding as the Medium test is currently the highest level test to be performed in Bahrain.
Competing for the first time, and in the Medium level test, on his stunning horses was Reza Al Afoo.
All the winners on Friday went home sporting Re-Cycling for Charity Cups and fabulous prizes along with a desktop miniature re-cycling bin just to remind them all of their fantastic day, hence 'Win the Bin'.

Mixed Medium: 1 Britta Tappendorf & Liron, 2 Reza Al Afoo & Night, 3 Reza Al Afoo & Rosa Maria.

COMING EVENTS
BREEF Show Jumping Championships:
This week the BREEF will run its 6th Show Jumping event of this season on Friday.
The classes will consist of Green Horse for Junior & Adult, Junior C, Junior B, Adult C, Grand Prix and Adult B.
The show will start at 8.45am.
Twin Palms Riding Centre Dressage League:
Twin Palms Riding Centre will run the third event of this season on Friday, February 5.
The show will be for the following classes:
Best Turned Out - All riders
Newcomer Junior & Adult
Preliminary Junior & Adult
Working Equitation A - suitable for beginners of any age.
Working Equitation B
