SONG-WRITING mum Rupa Bhargava will be rockin' her heart out tonight when she steps out to perform an original number live on Bahrain TV's Channel 55.
The talented songstress was once the lead singer in a popular Indian band called the Fanatics delivering cover versions of classic Beatles and Jim Morrison hits before abandoning showbiz for corporate life.
Having gained a masters degree in business and taking on the responsibility for human resources and training at a leading telecoms company she settled down, married banking executive Pulin and moved to Bahrain four years ago.
Her two children Suhana, four, and Aashna, two, are now her biggest fans.
"They just love me to sing," Rupa, 33, from Hoora, said, "and I also enjoy composing my own songs."
Rupa's passion for music has been truly reignited and she has been busy rehearsing with a recently-formed band called Crossroads in the kingdom.
Tonight she will be performing Child of Desire - a powerful rock composition she penned four months ago focusing on feelings and power hungry, 'self-occupied' people.
GulfWeekly has joined up with the English language station of the nation to undercover the kingdom's most promising entertainer.
We will highlight every contestant invited to appear on the Talent Trail 2010 segment of presenter Krazy Kevin's Music Mania chart show.
Readers and viewers will be able to vote in a special final edition of the programme and the contestant who receives the most cast will walk away with a prize trophy.
A panel of invited judges will be invited to comment on the recorded performances ... but it will be your email vote that counts.
