The 2010 event in Sakhir will be celebrating the FIA Formula 1 World Championship's 60th anniversary with several concerts featuring Arabic and international artists.

As part of the entertainment lined up at the BIC during the race weekend, internationally-acclaimed producer Timbaland will perform on Sunday. He will be joined by RnB artists Sean Kingston and Flo Rida performing on Saturday and Emirati singer Hussain Al Jasmi on Thursday.

Fans who purchase a three-day race ticket will be able to attend the concerts taking place at BIC facilities completely free.

A variety of musicians, bands, DJs and performers are also scheduled to provide non-stop entertainment during the three-day racing weekend. It includes Legends, a Bob Marley tribute band, cover band Patrick-Alan Bob, UK-based electronic vocalist Lisa and DJ Hooch as well as The Cash Cows, a strings duo.

An array of legendary F1 cars will also be on display including vehicles including title-winning Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Mercedes and Maserati machines.

Many champion F1 drivers will also be guests throughout the race weekend.

Jim's Restaurant

The popular restaurant in Adliya is offering a special F1 menu with a four-course menu including soups, appetisers, main courses and desserts with complementary Irish coffee. On March 17 and 18 the outlet will offer a special menu for St Patrick's Day celebrations with a DJ in the garden. Rate for both is BD14 net per person. A free Grand Prix Budweiser Music Live! Weekend Opening Party will be held at the Coral Beach Club in Manama with Finley Quaye warm-up with DJ Outlaw. Tickets free in advance from the venue. JJ's Irish Pub in Adliya will feature UK-based DJ Rob Lamberti live on stage.

THURSDAY

Red Bull Night Race featuring Debruit & Jade with warm up by Mr K at Coral Beach Club. A George Michael tribute act will be held at JJ's. Show starts at 9pm. Entry is BD5.

The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel & Spa is gearing up for its seventh Formula One Grand Prix weekend from today until Sunday. On the night of March 11, 12 and 13, a 'Starlight Lounge' at the poolside will be set up offering a mezze and dessert buffet with soft lounge music in the background. SATURDAY

THE Bahrain Grand Prix Ultra Six Race Party 2010 takes place at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Ballroom. The event will feature five internationally-acclaimed DJs including Damian D'Costa, Paul Sparkes, DJ Java, DJ Cossta and DJ Faith.

Tickets are available at Virgin Megastore outlet, Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel and Picasso office and are priced at BD10, BD20 and BD40. Door opens at 8pm.
