As state-of-art technology in the industry continues to advance, the importance of grading diamonds for more characters other than the 'classic 3Cs' has gained momentum.
Now taken into consideration is 'fluorescence' - the effect of ultraviolet rays on diamonds.
Proportions refer to a polished diamond's dimensions, facet angles and the relationships between them as they are key factors as far as the reflection of light from the surface is concerned.
Lastly, the finish grade refers to the quality of diamond polish and its symmetry.
