THE American bodybuilding chain that helped pump up Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tiger Woods is pushing deeper into the Arab world.
Gold's Gym and Dubai-based partner Al Ahli Holding Group said that they have reached a deal to open at least 26 gyms in four Gulf states. Under the terms of the deal, Al Ahli expects to open gyms in Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Qatar. It will build some itself, while establishing franchise or licensing deals with local partners for others. Financial details weren't disclosed.
Al Ahli says some gyms will include luxury amenities such as spas, while others will be simpler bodybuilding shops.
