'Communication and Leadership towards Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030' will be the focus of a panel discussion headed by some of Bahrain's distinguished industry leaders, as part of the Toastmasters International's - Bahrain Toastmasters Annual Conference Division- K (BTAC-K) on Friday.

The event, being held at the Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE), Juffair, will host a number of panel members representing various sectors of society who have a stake in the achievement of this vision. They will share their current experiences and insights on the topic.

Panelists include Abdullelah Al Qassimi, CEO of the Tamkeen Labour Fund, Hussain M. Tadayon, chairman of the Eastern Industrial and Oilfields Holding Company (EIOS), Dr Farid Al Mulla, CEO of Oasis Capital Bank, Saleh Al Noaimi, founding partner of Ibtikar Group and Dr Mohammed Alkhozai, head for the Centre for Academic and Executive at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF).

The leaders of Toastmasters' Division K deemed it that a would be fundamental to include a panel discussion to bring together distinguished leaders of society and have a conversation on how communication and leadership skills can contribute to the accomplishment of the Economic Vision 2030.

The panel discussion is modelled after the proposal which aspires to shift from an economy built on oil wealth to a productive, globally competitive economy, shaped by the government and driven by a pioneering private sector - an economy that raises a broad middle class of Bahrainis and expatriates alike who enjoy good living standards through increased productivity and high wage jobs.

It aims to address specific questions such as;

¥ How can we motivate Bahrainis to take advantage of the opportunities to develop these skills?

¥ And, how can expatriate labour participate and contribute to achieving Economic Vision 2030 for Bahrain?

Hussain Al Ansari, general manager of Maintenance Services at BAPCO, is Chief Panelist Coordinator, pictured above, and panel discussion leader will be District Toast Master Tony Cortes.
