BAHRAIN'S striker Jaycee John Okwunwanne is now plying his goal scoring trade in Turkey and has already established a growing rapport with the passionate fans of top flight Eskisehirspor.

The 24-year-old was snapped up by the SŸperlig outfit after his former club Mouscron of Belgium fell into financial troubles and notched a couple of goals to help secure a top seven finish last season.

Nigerian-born Jaycee has scored 11 goals in 43 games for the Bahrain national football team and says he is delighted to be playing in Turkey: "I aim to shine!" he said.

Eski_ehirspor are based in Eski_ehir and are also known as The Star of Anatolia. The club, founded in 1965, started a football revolution and now boasts a large fan base. The supporters' slogan is 'Es Es Es Ki Ki Ki , Eski Eski Es!'.

After being out of the Turkish SŸper Lig for 12 years the former Turkish Cup holders won promotion in May 2008. They also once lifted the Cumhurbaskanligi Kupasi (President Cup) by beating Galatasaray 3-2 with all goals coming from the club's legendary forward, Fethi Heper.

Fans are confident of further glory with the former Muharraq striker leading the line. Eskisehir will be playing their first match next Sunday against Genlerbirli_i. "He's a great signing!" said more than one fan on a Turkish football social networking site. It is believed Scottish giants Celtic and Greek side PAOK FC were also hoping to gain his signature.
