The October 27 event at the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain, Hotel & Spa will gather business leaders to showcase 'best practice' insights into the ways to lead their teams and empower their employees to make the best business decisions for the company and its stakeholders.

Mr Majali's address 'Leading Through Change' will focus on managing Gulf Air as it implements its new strategy designed to streamline the airline and create a commercially-sustainable business.

Mr Majali said: "I am delighted to be a keynote speaker at the event and to have the opportunity to present a number of tactics used in 'leading through change' to business leaders in Bahrain.

"Education, as well as being an important tool in managing change, is important to career development. Hopefully the conference will provide the delegates with additional knowledge that they can apply at their workplaces."

Mr Majali took office last August and has more than 30 years experience in the aviation industry. He was acclaimed for transforming Royal Jordanian Airlines into a highly successful and profitable business.

Conference organisers MSB Consultancy (MSB) says it is 'honoured' to have Mr Majali on board.

Mr Majali will be joined by other speakers from the aviation industry including Gordon Dewar, chief executive officer of the Bahrain Airport Company and Catherine Baird, senior vice president cabin crew training, Emirates Airline.

Other notable speakers include Peter Kaliaropoulos, group chief executive of Batelco and the global chief operating officer of Barclays Wealth, Andrew Tinney.
