THE new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS will be officially launched during the Paris Motor Show this month.

The new Carrera GTS, which is now available for order in the GCC, epitomises the Carrera model series and features a power output of 408 hp, 23hp more than its predecessor.

Its sportiness goes hand-in-hand with its economic advantage as the vehicle consumes the same amount of fuel as the Carrera S in the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).

Special attention was paid to charge exchange in the 3.8-litre flat engine. Thanks to a resonance intake manifold, six vacuum-controlled tuning flaps switch between power-and torque-optimised geometry.

Maximum torque remains unchanged at 420 Nm, which is already available at 4,200 rpm - 200 rpm earlier than the Carrera S.

The 911 Carrera GTS CoupŽ is now available for order in the Middle East and first deliveries are expected in January 2011. Prices start from $107,455 in the GCC (around BD40,500). The Cabriolet can be expected at the same time and the basic retail for this model in the GCC is $117,489 (around BD44,000).
