Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat is the managing director and CEOof Kuwait Finance House-Bahrain (KFH-Bahrain), as well as the chairman of the board for the two largest real estate projects in Bahrain - Durrat Al Bahrain and Diyar Al Muharraq.

He is also the chairman of Mena Telecom. Mr Alkhayyat is a regular speaker on a variety of topics including business and finance and frequently participates at local and international conferences. He also has dedicated part of his time to participate in the board of directors of non-profit Bahraini organisations.

In 1997 Mr Alkhayyat passed his Certified Public Accountant exams from the State of California; he graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1990 and 1991 with bachelor degrees in both majors of Business Administration and Middle Eastern Studies.

In an effort to maintain and strengthen communication lines, Kuwait Finance House-Bahrain (KFH-Bahrain) introduced a new monthly initiative whereby 20 randomly-selected staff members from the bank have been given an opportunity to spend a full day out with its managing director and CEO, Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat.

The initiative, organised by the human resources department, has already been 'well received' by the staff.

Recently, the second 'day out with the CEO' took place at Durrat Al Bahrain and Mr Alkhayyat was accompanied by Abdul Razak Jawahery and Sattam Algosaibi, executive managers of KFH-Bahrain.

The main purpose is to strengthen communication bridges between the CEO and employees, where they'll not only get the chance to talk about various issues regarding the bank in a friendly and relaxing environment, but also have lunch together and spend some time away from the work routine.

"The key ingredient for any successful organisation is its people and these members of the KFH-Bahrain family are going to be the leaders who will run KFH-Bahrain into a promising future," said Mr Alkhayyat.

"Banking is a very complex business and there is nothing better than having our dedicated staff spend a day with the CEO so they can share their thoughts and ideas in order to excel in such a challenging work environment."

This initiative is part of KFH-Bahrain's commitment to providing a nurturing and supportive environment in which the bank's staff can fulfil their own personal aspirations.

The bank, a leading provider of Islamic commercial and investment banking services, was established in 2002 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Kuwait Finance House (Kuwait).
