The Gulf Hotel's La Pergola restaurant is hosting an Italian Culinary Week ending tomorrow, on the occasion of its 25th anniversary. The Tracks Sports Bar at Crowne Plaza Bahrain in Manama will host the comedy show Craic Attack featuring renowned comedians Pete Johansson and John Scott. Friday (Oct 22)

Auditions for MASK Bahrain's forthcoming production of Bugsy Malone will be held today and tomorrow from 10am-3pm at Sar Music Centre. Actors, singers and dancers age 10-16 are invited to audition.

A song from Bugsy will be taught to each audition group and there will be an opportunity for each individual to sing a solo section. Backstage crew is also invited for children above 13 years of age.

There will also be special auditions for dancers, musicians, comedians or performers wishing to take small cameo single appearance roles as part of an audition sequence within the show.

The production team includes stage director Joanna Pascal and musical director Lydia Martin from Sar Music Centre. The dates of the show are scheduled to be February 3, 4 and 5.

Bugsy Malone was originally set in New York. The Bahrain production will feature an Arabic flavour. There are many spoken and singing characters within the show and it will be the first show with an entire child cast. For details contact 17794898 or 39047734.

The Albareh Art Gallery will host Swiss photographer and new media designer David Siepert at its cafŽ for a three-week workshop entitled 'Staged Photography' for amateur and experienced photographers as well as artists. The workshop will consist of three stages including Introduction: Presentation about David's work on staged photography, brainstorming and first photographic sketches and Outcome: The final shooting and presentation. Bahraini artist Jaffar Aloraibi's solo exhibition begins today at the Al Riwaq Art Space in Adliya at 7pm.
