Two fabulous show jumping events were hosted by Shakhoora Riding Centre and Twin Palms Riding Centre with all the participants having an enjoyable day, writes Helen Blake.
At Shakhoora's show the riders and horses were judged on their turnout, style and technique around a course of jumps.
Results - Beginner class: 1st - Yulia Frolova/Dream, 2nd - Anna Goode/ Mysery, 3rd - Ellen Goode/ Maranello.
Advanced class: 1st - Sylvie Viermedis/Udricus, 2nd - Valerie Puls/ Pippa, 3rd - Bethany Clarke/ Starley, 4th - Ellen Goode/ Maranello, 5th - Zain Al Thawadi/ Glasur, 6th - Sara Al Mutawa/ Bart.
Twin Palms also held their first open to all show on Friday.
Results - Clear Round with Jump Off: 1st - Helen Blake/ Merlin, 2nd - Natasha Campbell/ Bailey, 3rd - Kate Addison/ Duell Time, 4th - Natasha Campbell/ Bingo, 5th - Megan Docherty/ India, 6th - Dawood Salman/ Loki.
He he ... that was ME and our first show jumping victory, with super Merlin who flew through the finish, though Natasha was seriously close on our heels!
Results - Clear Round with Jump Off - final class: 1st - Muslim Ali/ Fred, 2nd - Muslim Ali/ Sondos, 3rd - Natasha Campbell/ Bailey, 4th - Kate Addison/ Duell Time, 5th - Kate Addison/ The Chief, 6th - Jo Cuthbertson/ Onyx.
Shakhoora Riding Centre events this month include a Dressage workshop on Saturday from 9am to 10am, followed by their In House Dressage to Music on November 26. For more information call 17591103.
Twin Palms Riding Centre have several upcoming events. There will be a Dressage Show (open to all) on Friday, with four classes - Preliminary A and B, and Working Equitation A and B. The schedule, entry form and tests can be found on the web site. The last date for entries is today.
Twin Palms are also hosting two other pony camps tomorrow and on Saturday, which run from 9am to 1pm and include lunch. They feature basic pony care from catching the pony, grooming, correct tacking up and untacking.

Ian Wright will be back in Bahrain on November 25 and will be running lessons at Twin Palms Riding Centre in Dressage and Show Jumping from beginner to advanced riders (guidelines apply for visiting horses).
