Mšvenpick Hotel Bahrain hopes to entice diners to sample the delights of traditional winter fare from the Alps in the New Year.

General manager Heinz KrŠhenbŸhl and Executive Chef Holger Lang aim to tingle the taste buds with a variety of Swiss fondue delicacies at the newly-designed Silk's restaurant.

"Fondue is a family event with friends not to be missed!" said Mr KrŠhenbŸhl who comes from Switzerland.

"Imagine those cold days of winter in the Swiss Alps and imagine yourself entering a warm cozy restaurant where authentic Swiss cheese fondues are served," he said. "It's not a dream any more, it's a reality!"

Every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evening guests will be able to sample the Swiss classic 'moitŽ-moitŽ' or opt for Fondue Bourguignonne - tender beef fillet cubes plunged into hot oil, paired with French fries and an array of delicious sauces.
