You'll be glad to know this week we see the return of the launch of new albums after a couple of weeks of re-released, rehashed (sorry, I mean 'remastered') old albums from artists that need to boost their dwindling bank accounts. Saying that, the following album is going to be one you either love or hate, but it will be a chart topper:
JESSIE J - Who You Are
Jessie J is a 22-year-old, Essex-born songwriter having written songs for the likes of Alicia Keyes, toured with Chris Brown and more impressively wrote Miley Cyrus's smash hit Party In The USA. Already topping the charts both here and in the States, this album is definitely worth a listen as it is more than just another pop album.
Other albums to look out for include:
Lucinda Williams - Blessed - Watch out for the track Seeing Black, which features blistering guitar from Elvis Costello.
Clare Maguire - Light After Dark - It's all about the voice which was first spotted on MySpace, all from a tiny Irish girl based in the UK.
Nikki Yanofsky - Nikki - The self-titled album from this 16-year-old Canadian singing sensation may well introduce jazz to a whole new generation of music lovers.
Justin Bieber - Never Say Never (The Remixes) - Girls around the world will be drawn towards anything with Mr Bieber's name on it with previously unreleased remixes, a live track and title number Never Say Never featuring Jaden Smith.
So until next week people, I'll leave you with these wise words: When all you have is a hammer ... everything looks like a nail.
