BAHRAIN’S most popular community newspaper GulfWeekly is getting more interactive with readers … thanks to our stunning new website.

www.gulfweekly.com attracts more than 400,000 visitors each month. During January alone we recorded almost 300,000 unique visitors … more than any other English-language newspaper website in Bahrain!

Editor Stan Szecowka said: “We are determined to reach and delight our growing number of young, technology-savvy visitors and become an even more essential part of their lives.

“Visitors from home and abroad are enjoying our unbiased, informative coverage of local events, local people and local businesses by linking into www.gulfweekly.com

“The website now also provides a unique way for local companies to reach a wider audience than ever before in a cost-effective manner.”

Developments on the website have been undertaken by Rana Lababidi, director – online services & agency relations of TradeArabia.com Network & TradeArabia Web Services and her team of internet technicians.

We have added new features which include allowing visitors to share articles via email, comment on articles and we have enabled users to share articles via social media networks such as Twitter and Facebook.

Archives of GulfWeekly are now available online dating back to 2006.

The interactive design is more user friendly and loads faster

And, there are enhanced advertising options and exposure for advertisers

Future plans will enable readers to access our photographic library and check out the complete photographic shoot from each story and purchase high resolution copies online.
