The Christian Louboutin boutique has unveiled its new Spring/Summer Collection highlighting its classic and seasonal styles at its store within a store in the kingdom.
The Bahrain City Centre's Saks Fifth Avenue is the first retailer to stock the celebrated French fashion guru's range in the region, as reported earlier in FashionWeekly.
Christian Louboutin said: "My clients from Bahrain who go shopping at boutiques in Paris and London always asked me for a store in the Middle East and I am thrilled that we are able to engage them in a space that is reflective of my personal design while offering them a great selection of shoes and handbags for both day and night."
The 52 sq m boutique features glass shelves displaying each shoe as a standalone piece complimented by plush red carpeting, pebble and leather-backed wooden tables and furnishings made of Italian fabric.
Louboutin recalls discovering a drawing at the Museum of African Art, which showed a woman's sharp-heeled shoe, crossed out with a vivid red line. The image, which dated back to the 1950s and was intended to safeguard the museum's parquet floor, fascinated and inspired him. Today his shoes are made in Italy and created at his design studio in Paris.
The price for the new collection of handbags and shoes ranges between BD164 to BD1,536.
