Gulf Weekly Stage set for Thai food and culture festival

The Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain will be staging its second Thai culture & food festival on September 18-24.

Nightly Thai performances will be held at Silk’s restaurant and the gallery lobby. Guests will be able to enjoy live cooking stations from visiting master chefs from Thailand and watch traditional and exotic Thai dancers performing.

And, Thai fruit carvers will show their skills transforming melons into artwork.

Cooking classes will also take place to allow visitors to find out how to prepare spicy curries and learn the secret recipes of ancient Thai dishes. The sessions can be booked between September 19-21 for groups of up to 15 enthusiasts, from 10am to 1pm for BD12.500++ per person, including lunch.

“Last year’s festival was such a success we thought of doing it again this year,” explained general manager Heinz Krähenbühl.

The event is being staged in partnership with the Thai Embassy and Qatar Airways.

Throughout the festival an authentic Thai buffet with numerous starters, main courses and desserts will be available priced BD15++ per person.
