With just a few weeks left for the re-launch of direct flights between Bahrain and Uganda, national carrier Gulf Air hosted a dinner meet for Uganda’s travel trade stakeholders and prominent travel agency representatives followed by a press conference at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel.
Speaking to the stakeholders and the media representatives, Gulf Air chief commercial officer Karim Makhlouf presented an overview of the airline, its network, products and services, and highlighted the advantages of flying with the Middle East’s largest network carrier.
He said: “We are pleased to be re-launching services to Entebbe, our fifth destination in the African continent encouraged by the positive and dynamic social, political and economic developments of Uganda.
“We believe that the recommencement of services between Uganda and Bahrain will spur investment, trade and leisure travel between the two countries and the larger East Africa region.”
Gulf Air will fly non-stop to Entebbe from December 5, four times a week, operating an Airbus A320 in a two-class configuration of 16 seats in Falcon Gold and 120 in Economy with the capacity to carry four tonnes of freight.
The national carrier will also be launching direct flights to Juba in South Sudan from February 7.
