In action on Saturday, the University College Bahrain bounced back from their first defeat at the hands of Olympique De Bahrain to rout Arsenal School Reds 7-2. Hotshot Fahad got four in the first half, while Mo’ath added two in the second half alongside a strike by Mohammed. Maytham Lari scored a brace for the Reds.
The Arsenal Blues also crashed to defeat by three goals to Olympique De Bahrain.
Olympique continued in dominant form in the tournament with goals from Amine Benabdeljalil, Mehdi Aityahoui and Mohammed Loufsi.
A costly Blues goalkeeping error following a shot from the halfway line proved decisive and Olympique never looked back.
The Showstoppers lived up to their name by completing a difficult evening for the Arsenal teams with a convincing 7-0 thrashing of Arsenal Yellows. Amjad Ali scored twice, while Azem, Jameel, Salman, Ali and Fida notched one each.
Meanwhile, Friendly Fanatics defeated Marina FC 1-0 thanks to a brilliant free-kick from talisman striker Jorrian Hendriks in the first half.
Marina FC continuously put pressure on the Fanatics goal, but to no avail.
