So you’ve either purchased, wrapped and tagged (hopefully with the correct names) the gifts you will hand out with zest this coming Sunday, or you will have one day set aside to do the whole present buying experience in one big bash.

I must admit that all of my wrapping has been done and delivered in good time, allowing me to concentrate on the entertainment side of this festive season.

Even though I won’t be back in Europe with friends and family in person to see the reactions, I’m fairly certain they will produce smiles and laughter on Christmas morning, and I too am looking forward to unwrapping some presents so I can then pick up the phone and thank everybody.

Although this year I will miss my young nephew bouncing around my sister’s front room with boundless energy, screaming and giggling with delight as he causes chaos amongst the adults, Christmas can be a magical time for everybody.

Last week, I promised you avid readers some more top tunes to complement your own dining experience.

True to my word, here are my top ten ‘present un-wrapping’ tunes:

Bing Crosby - White Christmas
GregLake - I Believe In Father Christmas
Shakin Stevens - Merry Christmas Everyone
The Waitresses - Christmas Wrapping
Wham - Last Christmas
Band Aid - Do They Know Its Christmas
Wizzard - I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday
Slade - Merry Christmas Everybody
Paul McCartney - Wonderful Christmas time
Ronettes - Frosty The Snowman

But, of course, Christmas wouldn’t be complete without hearing one of the all-time favourites for the festive season, which of course is Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You!

May I take this chance to wish everybody a very merry Christmas! I hope you manage to spend some quality time with the people that mean the most to you. So have fun, and I’ll leave you with a topical joke:

How do you know Santa has to be a man? Because no woman is going to wear the same outfit year after year.
