More than 2,500 people from Bahrain’s Indian community are expected to attend a special night of Carnatic music performances next month. Madhu Muralee Ravam is being organised by Synergy Middle East, in association with Nadabrahmam Music Club of the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam and the Indian Institute for Performing Arts (IIPA). It will feature Carnatic vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and playback singer Dr M Balamuraleekrishna and will be held at the society’s premises in Manama on February 2 at 7.45pm.

The Approach of Reality and the Colour of the Dream exhibition at the Bahrain National Museum, part of cultural events taking place throughout the year to mark Manama being named the Arab Capital of Culture 2012, runs until January 31. It showcases the works of a selection of artists from the Arab World Institute.
The Autumn Fair returns to the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre from January 25 to February 2.
With more than 700 exhibitors from 23 countries, thousands of products ranging from specialty food, fashion and furniture to technology, toys, textiles and more will be on show.
The Autumn Fair will open daily to the public from 10am to 1pm and 4pm to 10pm. On January 25 and 27 the exhibition will open from noon to 10pm. Special ladies only mornings will take place on January 29 and 30. Entry is 700 fils and children under five enter free.

Renowned Reiki Guru Frank Arjava Petter will visit Bahrain to teach Jikiden Reiki at levels Shoden (level 1) and Okuden (level 2).
