THE BOAC qualifier was played in perfect conditions on Friday at Awali Golf Club.
Jeffery Barrett continued his superb form this season and fired a fantastic gross 87 (nett 64) to lift the title. Barrett, who has been amongst the prizes several times already this season, has had his handicap justifiably cut to 21. David Frosdick also finished with a nett 64 but was unfortunate to lose out on the count back rule.
The first division was won by Abdulla Al Ghatam with a four under par nett 66 (gross 76). Al Ghatam finished one stroke ahead of Abdulla S Al Kaabi and Simon Brown who both finished with a nett 67 and finished second and third respectively.
In the second division, David Frosdick’s nett 64 was good enough to win first prize by two shots over Gerry McDermott and Paul Beaumont.
Arunava Banerjee was crowned winner of the third division with a fine nett 69. In second place, Vidhu Mittal shot a solid level par nett 70 to pip Rebecca Fisher (nett 71) by one shot.
