The AMH Island Classic charity golf tournament, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad, is all set to tee off at His Majesty’s private golf course in Saffriya on March 1.
Over a decade ago, American Mission Hospital launched a fundraising programme that has considerably extended hospital premises, services and facilities to the community.
Today, a decade after its beginning and under the leadership of Bahnaz Abbas, AMH marketing and development manager and Island Classic organiser, the AMH Island Classic programme continues to raise funds for hospital equipment and for programmes both inside and outside the hospital that are aimed at improving the health of the community.
ìThe faithful sponsorship that comes each year from so many individuals, companies, banks and ministries is deeply appreciated,î said Ms Abbas.
The three-day tournament – one of the leading events in Bahrain’s sporting calendar – is now in its 15th year. A Gala Ball, the culminating event to the tournament for sponsor appreciation, has been scheduled for March 15 at the Ritz Carlton Bahrain Hotel & Spa.
