Goulden clinches individual title in Black Ball contest

The team of Steve Brown, Susan Scott and Keith Roberts claimed the Bahrain Airport Services Black Ball competition with a fantastic score of 40 points at the Awali Golf Club on Friday.
The trio of Nasser Eid, Graham Tole and Hendrick Wessels were unfortunate to lose on countback.
In the individual event, former club captain Alan Goulden triumphed with an excellent score of 42 points. The other podium places went to Nasser Al Kaabi and Richard Pawson, who scored 40 points to finish in second and third place respectively.
Mahmood Falamarzi, Ian Baglin and Richard Hewitt each finished on 39 points to claim the final three prizes.
In the ladies side contests, Rebecca Fisher won the closest to the pin on the 4th hole and Lynn St Lawrence was closest to the water in two shots on the 17th hole.
The men’s side contests were claimed by A R Amin who was closest to the pin on the 6th hole whilst John Loughnane won the longest drive on the 18th hole.
