Since the inception of The Racing Falcons in July 2011, the team has been gearing up for any form of karting event on national and international level.
We will be participating in the Sprint Sodi World Series, a commercial leisure karting category of the Bahrain Karting Sprint Championship 2012 to be held at the Viva Karting Track (VKT).
The series consists of six rounds of which team captain Anup Surendran and co-racer Mohammed Jalal will participate in the second round this Friday and the rest of the Racing Falcons will be participating in upcoming rounds along with them.
The Racing Falcons, proudly sponsored by Delta Constuction, request the Indian and Sri Lankan community to come along and support and cheer for us.
We also would like to thank Bahrain Motor Federation, Bahrain Karting Club and VKT for their enormous support and co-operation and, last but not least, our fans and supporters. As the Racing Falcons say every time we reach a milestone in our racing ambitions: ‘Hail Falcons!’

Having just read Abu George’s article on Fabrice Muamba I would just like to make him aware of the following in relation to his comment about Derby County:
I, in no way condone the chanting regarding our fiercest rival’s chairman, but if he actually did some research he would have discovered the following:
– BEFORE the chanting started the Derby County defender Shaun Barker dislocated his knee which has actually put him out of the game for over a year – at this point the so-called Forest fans started chanting ‘Let him die, let him die, let him die!’ It was at this point that the Derby fans responded with their own chants – wrong, I know, but some may say understandable considering what they had just heard.
– Forest fans had also previously chanted at Derby County’s Robbie Savage at a previous game about his father who had recently passed away.
– Forest fans also chanted to Leeds fans ‘Where’s your Speedo gone’ after Gary Speed had recently committed suicide.
– Furthermore, Forest fans also made helicopter noises when a former Chelsea vice-chairman was killed in a helicopter crash.
May I suggest that before he prints such disparaging remarks about what I believe was a minority of Derby County fans that he actually does some proper research about the disgusting fans from the other end of the A52.
I would welcome him putting the record straight in his next article.

*Abu George replied: The article was not an in-depth analysis concerning the rivalry between Forest and Derby, or indeed any other, such as Glasgow Rangers and Celtic, which brings out the worst in many supporters, resulting in vitriolic and disgusting chants. It was, however, an example of the despicable mentality of a minority of football fans, which I used to contrast the wonderful support Muamba received from Tottenham fans.
Thank you for adding additional perspective. Personally, I would prefer to focus on the positive response from the majority of fans around the world which is what, I believe, the article emphasised. Perhaps, Mr Hobday was reading it through a red mist?

The article headlined ‘Opening up a new vista’ by Mai Al Khatib was nicely written (By the way, who can compete with her way of journalistic style?). I truly think that the article conveyed the message.
