Patrick Dempsey, star of the hit show Grey’s Anatomy, is set to produce a four-part documentary series focusing on auto racing.
With his passion for the subject, Dempsey showcases and documents his involvement in the demanding 24-hour automobile endurance competition in Le Mans, France next June.
The series is set to air mid 2013 on television and is titled Road to Le Mans.
Dempsey, owner and driver of his own race team, will serve as the producer and presenter of the documentary. The series will focus on his preparation, sponsor acquisition, training and time trials as well as the race itself.
The series will air first on the US Velocity TV channel before receiving a global release.
