The popular F1-themed scramble competition returned to the Royal Golf Club’s Montgomerie championship course this weekend, attracting nearly 100 competitors. The event was won by former club captain Barry Hobday’s team with an impressive net score of 56.8.

Hobday’s team, compromising son Sam, Terry Knight and Andy Love racked up an impressive 12 birdies. Without dropping a shot in the 18 holes, the team romped home two clear of the second-placed team of Sultan Abdulla, Mohamed Diab, Salman Al Bander and Abdulla Jalal who achieved a neat score of 58.4.

In the side contests, a notable achievement was a hole-in-one on the 7th hole from 12-year-old Deanna Ngo.
