Arsenal Woolwich powered to a mighty 6-0 victory over an Eastern Flames side hoping to build on a first victory of the season.
Team captain Rama Salem believes her side’s strength proved the deciding factor. She said: "It was a great game. The Flames have improved and gave us a little bit more of a challenge this time around.
"But we communicated really well and every week we seem to be getting stronger and stronger. We are setting up quality goals, not lucky ones."
Midfielder Wafa Al Obidat nabbed the first goal for Woolwich and it snowballed from there. Forward Reema Al Qassab and midfielder Salem each bagged a brace and the last goal came from sweeper Alaa Al Alawi.
Other results included Joga Bonito’s 12-1 victory over Arsenal Dial Square; Bahrain’s U16 National team defeated Arsenal Royal 5-0; and St Christopher’s Seniors won 3-0 against RCSI.
