Keeping it in the family

Hussain and Hamed Salem led the way in the Euro Motors BMW Monthly Medal at the Royal Golf Club with Hussain edging out his brother to capture the division one title with a great one under par net 71. 

Hussain finished just two shots ahead of brother who finished with net 73 in extremely testing conditions on the Club’s Montgomerie championship course.

In the division two category it was another case of keeping it in the family with promising youngster Deanna Ngo just beating her brother Derek, finishing on net 71 and 72 respectively. 

In the third division a four under par net 68 from Salman Al Bader ensured he was the winner by just one shot over runner up Ki Hyonng Kim who finished with net 69. Sam Jones qualified as the top lady in the tournament with a two over par net 74. All the winners will progress on to the Euro Motors BMW Grand Final which will be held at the Royal Golf Club in December.

“Anyone achieving a score around par on Friday in those conditions did a great job,” said John Wilson, the club’s golf operations & events manager.
