SWITZERLAND is getting ready to rock with the world’s most colourful house and techno parade making its way around Zurich’s lakeside for the 21st time next month.
Attracting thousands of dance enthusiasts every year, the Street Parade on August 11 is a gigantic musical extravaganza.

Organisers say it is a celebration that is manifested through a vibrant fusion of street concerts, parties and electronic music featuring internationally-acclaimed DJs, music stars, and live performances.

The first three headliner acts for this year are Australian-British rock band Pendulum and German DJs Turntablerocker and Fritz Kalkbrenner.

This year, the 2.4 km-long parade route will commence at 3.15pm at Utoquai in the Zürich neighbourhood of Seefeld, from where it will proceed around the lakefront via Bellevue, Quaibrücke and Bürkliplatz, arriving at Hafendamm Enge at around 10pm.

The excitement will continue at the after-parties in several areas around the city until midnight.

The Dolder Grand, the luxury-class City Resort, is gearing itself up to welcome party-loving visitors from the Gulf region for the mid-August fiesta.

Guests at the hotel can wind down after the Street Parade, soaking up the serene and relaxing atmosphere, in particular the award-winning 4000 sq/m spa and Chill Out room.

With its elevated location, between pulsating city and invigorating nature, magnificent views of Zurich city, the lake and the Alps, the resort features 173 luxuriously-appointed rooms and suites.

GCC travellers who wish to experience the Swiss spirit during these festivities can enjoy a complimentary fourth night with The Dolder Grand ‘4 for 3 Experience’ offering guests four nights for the cost of three.

The package starts from $2,205 for one person in a Double Room Superior and $ 2,520 for two people in a Double Room Superior. This offer is valid until September.
