Audi Middle East posted its strongest July sales figures ever with a total of 661 units sold.

Sales increased by 34 per cent over the same period in 2011. Audi overall sales in the region rose by 17 per cent in the first seven months of the year with 4,935 units sold.

The figures were boosted by a surge in sales for the Audi A6 sedan, which witnessed a 76 per cent sales rise, closely followed by the Audi A8 L and the Audi Q7 SUV.

The strongest market for Audi in the Middle East remains the UAE with a total of 2,024 vehicles delivered to customers in the first seven months of the year, which represents a 41 per cent share of total Middle East sales. The UAE is followed by Saudi Arabia and Kuwait with 1,025 and 671 vehicles respectively.

“We are starting off the second half with another record month of sales reinforcing Audi’s position in the Middle East market.

“We are determined to keep up the momentum for the latter part of the year while maintaining a strong focus on dealer network development as well sales and after sales service,” said Audi Middle East managing director Jeff Mannering.

The German marque introduced several new model variants to its portfolio in 2011, including the Audi A4, A5 range and the new Audi Q3.
