The husband and wife team of Heinz and Tatyana Hurter secured victory in the second week of the Crestlink Monday Madness Night Golf League at the Royal Golf Club.
The pair scored 25 points in the Vegas Stableford format competition including a run of five net birdies in the last five holes. They narrowly edged out another husband and wife team, Peter and Sara Thompson, who finished second with 24 points.
Third place went to Paul Carpenter and Steve Middleton who also scored 24 points but lost out on countback.
Heinz Hurter also won nearest the pin on hole 16 with Duaij Ahmed achieving a similar feat on hole 12.
Interestingly, none of the winners from the previous week featured this week, so the Order of Merit after two weeks is very tight with Heinz and Tatyana Hurter joining Tony Bridgens and Depriest Daniels at the head of affairs with five points each after two events.
The Crestlink Monday Madness Night Golf Series is open to non-members at a cost of BD20 per night for the 9-hole event. Tee-off is every Monday evening at 6.30pm with a shotgun start. To register, email golfevents@theroyalgolfclub.com
