Dawson’s Creek fans don’t wanna wait for the second season of ABC’s sitcom Don’t Trust the B**** in Apartment 23, as the show has a mini-creek reunion planned for the season premiere next month.
Former Dawson’s Creek star and Cougar Town actress Busy Philipps will appear for a guest role alongside James Van Der Beek (Dawson), the main character in both shows.
As reported by TVGuide.com, Philipps, like Van Der Beek, will play herself. The actress joined the 90s teen drama late in its run as Joey’s college roommate and Pacey’s girlfriend.
“I’m thrilled!” Van Der Beek said of Philipps’ guest role. “She’s a good friend and she’s hilarious. I can’t wait to see what it all entails.”
Van Der Beek also offered up a taste of what the reunion will look like. “It kind of centres around fake me pondering a reunion and what that would mean for myself, for my career, and I’m sure it’ll go downhill from there,” he explained.
In the season premiere, James will attempt to reunite his Creek co-stars, who, according to Apartment 23’s creator Nahnatchka Khan, could include Michelle Williams, Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes.

Apartment 23 airs on Thursdays at 7pm and Fridays at 3pm on OSN Comedy.
