The US drama Once Upon A Time has found its Captain Hook. Irish actor Colin O’Donoghue has officially been promoted to series regular to play the Peter Pan villain in season two of the series.
The actor whose credits include The Rite and The Tudors joined the case early August landing the pivotal role of the one-armed man. His impending arrival was announced by show-runners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis at Comic-Con and according to Entertainment Weekly his new status kicks in the second half of the series.
O’Donoghue’s Captain Hook is reported to be stylish yet will still posses some of the old school manners, so viewers needn’t be disappointed as he will still play the conniving classic character that people know Hook to be. Other new actors to join the drama in season two include Jamie Chung, known for Sucker Punch, as Mulan and Sarah Bolger, who was acquainted with O’Donoghue on The Tudors, as Princess Aurora.
Hook will first appear on October 21 in an episode entitled The Crocodile, where Peter Pan fans are aware that the villain lost his hand after a run-in with a hungry crocodile.
Once Upon A Time airs everyday at 11am and again at 1pm on OSN First and OSN First HD.
