FANS of Buffy the Vampire Slayer are in for a surprise as Seth Green has landed a role on How I Met Your Mother, reuniting him with Buffy co-star Alyson Hannigan.
The TV show’s official Twitter account announced that Green will be joining the cast in a role that will give him plenty of screen time with Hannigan.
Green will play Daryl LaCoutre, an old classmate of Lily and Marshall’s (Jason Segel). While he considered them his best friends, they barely remember him and he soon becomes obsessive in his efforts to spend time with them.
He will appear in flashbacks, and they’ll encounter him in the present-day living near campus and waiting for his much-anticipated reunion.
In addition to playing Oz, the werewolf lover of Hannigan’s Willow on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the 38-year-old Green is known for voicing Chris Griffin on Family Guy and for co-creating Adult Swim series Robot Chicken.

The episode is scheduled to air on December 10 in the US. The CBS comedy continues on Tuesdays to Fridays at 6pm on OSN Comedy HD.
