THE cancelled US TV show The Killing may not be dead just yet.

Although the series was not renewed in July, Deadline.com reported that the TV network AMC may be resurrecting the show for a third season.

The Killing is an American crime drama series based on the Danish television series of the same name but known as Forbrydelsen (The Crime) in Danish. It follows the police investigation of the murder of a young girl, tying together three interlocking stories as investigators chase a variety of leads.

AMC is working out a deal with Netflix, a global provider of on-demand Internet streaming media, that would see the site share costs for the third season, which would likely go into production in February should the deal go through.

The Killing would air on AMC first, the would be available on Netflix When AMC announced The Killing’s cancellation in July, the studio issued a statement saying it would ‘try to find another home for the show’.

The Killing airs every Sunday at 9pm on OSN First and OSN First HD.
