Shakhoora Riding Centre: Show Jumping Event on March 15.

Also coming up this weekend:
l Twin Palms Riding Centre will be hosting a fun fundraising show jumping event, in order to celebrate the life of Chrissie Parker, who passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. All proceeds from this event will be donated to her family’s chosen charity, Cancer Research. Everybody is welcome and a host of activities are planned including an auction for a Bates Caprilli Saddle.

The morning will start with a ‘ride and drive’. After horses and riders have completed a show jumping course, each rider has to sit inside a wheelbarrow as a designated driver completes an obstacle course, fastest time wins.

The second class will feature three riders in each team, the first jumping a course of 60cm, the next 80cm and the last 100cm. All the faults and times will be added together and the fastest with least faults will win.

A pairs jumping class follows – two horses/ riders must jump the fences together.

Bareback jumping will be the penultimate class of the morning, which promises to be as entertaining as the pairs, then to round off the event will be a calming clear round class.

The event will kick off at 9am. Entries must be registered by tomorrow. You can bring them to the stable or email Twin.Palms.Riding.Centre@hotmail.com

*A BREEF Dressage Championship will be held at Saar Stables on Saturday starting at 9am. There are three tests being run, an Introductory, Preliminary and Novice.

*Genevive Joyce, trained in equine osteopathy and remedial sports massage therapy, will be making her second trip to Bahrain from the UK. If you would like her to treat your horse contact Jerri Taylor on 33309972 or email me.
