AFTER becoming fed up with mundane errands and daily stresses, Abdulrahman Al Awadhi has founded Life Easy, a new commercial services company designed to make life easier for residents in the kingdom.
The 31-year-old entrepreneur, photographer and adventure traveller, launched the business with the aim of taking the pain out of regular chores, administrative angst and bureaucratic bungling by taking over the tasks.
Mr Al Awadhi, who lives in Juffair, reckons time is essential and too many people are wasting energy when his team could deliver for a reasonable price people that are happy to pay.
He said: “Life Easy is an original Bahraini concept that was born out of life’s necessities. We have developed an idea of focusing on delivering services for all matters related to lifestyle that can often prove to be so frustrating.
“It is a revolution in lifestyle as I believe life is for living, sharing and enjoying. Let someone else worry about the little details while you get to enjoy your peace, follow your passions or discover your friends and family. Let that someone be Life Easy!”
The company, made up of five like-minded colleagues and a back office team, is located in Juffair’s Murjan Mall. People looking to sell products or find something, be it a budget-friendly restaurant, a car or even furniture can have all their needs met, he claims.
Mr Al Awadhi explained: “The idea is simple. You let us know what you’re looking for and we’ll get it done. Either that or we’ll find the right people to do it. We’re all about answering questions.
“No more queuing, running around, driving in the sun and getting stuck in traffic. No more chasing, hustling, or stumbling at work and suffering a migraine. We’re about reducing the clutter, so you can focus on you. By letting us help you, you are helping yourself!
“Generally, we focus on four main areas. We offer a directory of low cost items and services related to lifestyle and residence. We cover relocation, shipping, delivery, packing and related services.
“We arrange for most errands, including paperwork clearance, household chores and social arrangements.
“We provide local expertise to help find what you need while saving more and getting it done faster. Also, if you have a talent, service, or product that you’d like us to promote just let us know and we’ll be happy to review it.
“Once people realise how much we can do for them, they get very excited. Most of our clients are repeat visitors! We receive a large variety of different requests through our website, Facebook and Whatsapp on a daily basis.”
One skeptical Australian expat decided to put the company to the test, walked into the office and comically stated: “Yalla ... make my life easy!”
He was complaining that his job wasn’t paying him enough and he barely had time to enjoy himself due to the struggles of combining work with family life and the arrival of his newborn son.
Life Easy found him low cost furniture for his new home, arranged a baby-sitter and a cleaner to visit at weekends and all for less than half the budget he had in mind.
They even booked a romantic dinner for him and his wife at a restaurant and this arrangement has become a weekly affair.
Mr Al Awadhi added: “Another individual that recently came from Japan to work in Bahrain approached us and we found him a place to stay, arranged for his identity card and driver’s licence as well as printing his business cards. We even found him a low-cost printer and arranged a car rental for him.
“Life is becoming increasingly complicated, considerably so with Bahrain’s development over the past 10 years.”
Mr Al Awadhi is keeping tight-lipped about the prices he charges, saying that every case is different.
