World renowned stars arrived for the inauguration ceremony of the 70th Venice International Film Festival on the red carpet in style and elegance delivered by Maserati, the main sponsors.
Among these stars were host of the event, Sicilian-born top model and actress Eva Riccobono, and actress and producer Sandra Bullock, who each arrived in a Maserati Quattroporte. Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney and famous Italian director Bernardo Bertolucci, who was chairman of the International Jury for the competition, also arrived in the luxurious four-door saloon and Trident marque’s flagship.
Following the ceremony guests were chauffeured in Maseratis to The Maserati Terrace, set in the pool area at the Hotel Excelsior, which hosted the exclusive opening film screening of the science fiction thriller Gravity alongside Bullock and Clooney.
The evening marked the beginning of Maserati’s ties with the 70th International Film Festival of the Venice Biennial, cementing the relationship between the prestigious film festival and the Fiat Group.
