THE biggest names in the kingdom’s automobile industry will unveil dozens of new vehicles at the 4th Bahrain International Motor Show (BIMS), aiming to drive the local market forward.

Car companies will be exhibiting their latest releases at the event, to be held at the Bahrain International Circuit from December 12-14.

BIMS CEO, Wassim Sami Farhoud, said: “The Bahrain International Motor Show aims to contribute to an increase in trade and commerce by supporting all sectors of the industry. With every edition, we have witnessed a significant incline in sales for the participating exhibitors, and this year we have expanded to include even more brands and businesses. We are proud to welcome all of them to take part in this major event.”

Exhibitions such as BIMS benefit a range of businesses including hotels, restaurants which experience a boost as a result of the influx of visitors at the time of the event.

The exhibition has received support from corporations such as the ‘Powered By’ sponsor, Zayani Investments, the ‘Official Venue’, the Bahrain International Circuit, and the new ‘Strategic Partner’ Batelco.

In order to offer various motor-related businesses a prominent platform to promote their products and services, the 4th Bahrain International Motor Show features new sections to broaden the range of products on display, while involving the local talents and companies to be part of the event.

One of the additions is the 1st Bahrain International Motor Bike Show. This sub-event aims to boost the motorbike industry in Bahrain and will host the local Bahrain Bikers Team in addition to other motorbike businesses and performances.

Furthermore, a vast commercial vehicle section will provide local corporations with a single place to explore vehicles for their businesses, whether they require busses, trucks or construction vehicles.

Around 30,000 visitors gathered for the 2011 event and the organisers are hoping to cater to even more motoring enthusiasts for the biennial spectacle.

Tickets cost BD2, BD5 and BD20 for kids, adults and VIPs respectively and are now on sale at Batelco City Centre, Virgin Megastore and online at www.motorshow.bh.
