It’s that time of the year when snow falls in Bahrain, and families can experience a magical winter at Bahrain City Centre’s Winter Wonderland village.

A highly-anticipated and much-loved community event, this year the mall has a few surprises in store for visitors.
Winter Wonderland runs throughout the month of December, and as part of the campaign, shoppers stand the chance to win the grand prize of a BD15,000 fashion wardrobe!

“Bahrain City Centre has become the most popular family destination for the winter season as a result of our popular Winter Wonderland campaign,” said Duaij Khalifa Al Rumaihi, senior mall manager for Bahrain City Centre.

“This year promises to be bigger than ever, as we have enhanced our winter village with exciting interactive elements, and our Symphony of Lights show – a never-seen-before display of lights and music. We look forward to welcoming residents and tourists to enjoy the magic of the winter season.”

Giant igloo, hanging snowflakes, and larger than life winter characters will be featured this year at Bahrain City Centre’s snow-capped winter village.

Children will get the opportunity to feel snow melt in their hands, while winter roaming penguin, polar bear and snowman mascots interact with visitors and pose for memorable photo opportunities.

Some exciting new elements will unveil at this year’s Winter Wonderland including miniature moving trains and a spectacular lights show every night in a ‘Symphony of Lights’, a first-of-its-kind show which will illuminate the winter village, while choreographed to music.

For the fashion savvy, the mall will also put on a fashion display in the Central Galleria with a showcase of the season’s latest trends.

For those looking to update their winter wardrobes, the chance of walking away with the Grand Prize BD15,000 shopping spree will come with every BD33 spent at the mall. What’s more, shoppers double their chances to win if they shop at the fashion stores.

Finally, all shoppers who spend BD50 throughout December will be able to take home a special keepsake – a limited edition Winter Wonderland snow globe, to bring the magic of winter everywhere it goes.

The winter season also brings sweet treasures and through a partnership with the Kempinski Grand & Ixir Hotel Bahrain City Centre, the mall will be hosting a cookie decorating activity every weekend throughout the month.

Kempinski will also be baking the longest trail of gingerbread cookies – aiming for 25m of the traditional treat as a charitable fundraising, with all proceeds from cookie sales going to a good cause. Throughout the month, Bahrain City Centre will be reaching out to community schools to invite them to experience the Winter Wonderland village, with some special vouchers and gifts for them to take home.

Finally, social media fans can get into the winter spirit as Bahrain City Centre will be hosting dedicated contests for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram fans, giving away multiple weekly prizes of BD50.
