THE clement weather has attracted scores of shoppers to the The Al Jazira Group’s new home and garden section at its Zinj branch as green-fingered residents step out to enjoy the fresh air.
Al Jazira Home is located on the first floor of the giant supermarket and replaced a clothing department by public demand.
According to Hadi Dawani, Al Jazira’s marketing manager, the facility offers shoppers with a wide choice of products with prices starting from as little as 100 fils.
Mr Dawani said: “The clothing store was replaced as a direct result of consultation with our customers. We discovered that there was a greater demand for the kinds of products we now have available.
“The response from shoppers has been above our expectations. We import high-quality items that are currently successful in the European market. As tastes and designs change, so do our range of products, enabling our customers to keep ahead of the latest trends.”
The department carries a variety of products from garden tents, chairs, tables and plant stands to flowers.
The popular supermarket opened its first store in 1965 in Adliya. It also has a thriving food service division catering to the needs of many of Bahrain’s leading hotels, restaurants, cafes and businesses. There are now four stores across the island in Adliya, Budaiya, Juffair and Zinj.
