When playing golf in the wind you need to make someadjustments to your technique and club selection.
The most common mistake when playing into the wind is to tryand hit the ball harder. It will generate more spin meaning that the ball willbe more greatly affected by the wind.
The secret is to create less spin on the ball. You can dothis by slowing down the tempo of the swing and also selecting a strongerlofted club to compensate for the distance lost by swinging slower.
Another good piece of advice is never try to fight the wind.If the wind is blowing from left to right, aim left and allow the wind to bringthe ball back. Don’t try and shape the ball into the wind direction.
