I’m curious to know if anyone can relate to this scene. You have been shopping for an outfit and managed to pull together something pretty smart and within your budget. Your eyes then catch the wall of accessories that would complete it perfectly.
 
Of course, by the time you have selected these, cleverly arranged, impulse purchase items you have blown your budget.

I have a strategy for those that are easily swayed by the standard ‘up sell’ questions that are ingrained in the retail staff, ‘Do you need a belt to go with those pants?’ Just say, ‘No, I am fine, thank you’ and avoid these extra costs and purchase timeless pieces that are on sale and you can pair with any outfit.
