Detox is ... sprouting

How do you add life and benefits to your existing food?

A quick way to increase the benefits in your food is by adding sprouts to your daily food or salads.

What are sprouts?

Sprouts are beans, lentils, or grains that we grow until they develop roots and become sprouts. Like in your fourth grade science project.

For example, lentils. We soak them in water overnight, then keep them in a damp cotton cloth for a few days until they grow roots.

This sprouting process increases the benefits and multiplies the nutrients and enzymes found in that food, so it becomes healthier for you.

At the same time, it becomes easier to digest and doesn’t need to be cooked.

You can choose anything to sprout: grains, beans, lentils, and even some nuts and seeds. If you choose to sprout, you’re much better off buying organic products to sprout, like sunflower seeds for example, quinoa, or even chickpeas.

An easy process that you can even make at home.

These sprouts are considered alive, so they therefore add life to your body.

What is detox? Detox is not the food in your life, but the life in your food.

Today the fitness industry is in a bit of a shambles. There’s a lot of money to be made from people who want to get their ideal body, particularly from women.

In this final instalment, let’s look at another myth that surrounds women’s training which are often simply stated as fact.

You have to stop eating the foods you enjoy: This happens all too often with people who are on a health kick – they treat foods they enjoy like drugs and go cold turkey. This is not a healthy way to treat food! It leads to bingeing and ends up being an unhealthy relationship with food.
The biggest factor when it comes to being healthy is sustainability; if you cannot be consistent, it will be incredibly hard to make progress.

There is no such thing as ‘unhealthy foods’, only unhealthy portions. If you are getting 80-90 per cent of your diet from natural food sources, then allowing yourself a treat that you enjoy and which fits in with your healthy macronutrient ratio is not only ok, but encouraged. Dieting is just as much a mental challenge as it is a physical one. Having a healthy relationship with food will help you unconditionally.

There you have it, 5 big training myths and 2 diet myths that nearly everyone mistakenly believes corrected!

Now I understand that this is a lot to take in and can be somewhat confusing.

But the take-home points should be:
* Keep it simple
* Lift
* Be more cynical with who you trust to give you training information

This is why I created Wonder Women, a programme for a select group of women who want to get outstanding results in double quick time.

Whilst keeping to the advice I give, I keep it simple so that there is no confusion – I do all the thinking for you! Diet and training is all taken care of along with other tips and constant contact and support from me.

If this is something that interests you or you know of someone who would be interested in this get in touch.
