While the 2014 Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix wrapped up in grand fashion on Sunday evening, F1 action continued this week at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir.

The ‘home of motorsport in the Middle East’ has been hosting two days of official in-season testing which concludes today.
All 11 Formula One teams have been present for the tests, which have made a return in this year’s FIA Formula One World Championship following a few year’s absence.
Bahrain is marking the first of four in-season tests this year. The others are to be held in Spain, Great Britain and finally in Abu Dhabi, right after each venue’s Grand Prix.
According to an agreement made by all the Formula One teams, each side must allocate one of their in-season test days exclusively to tyre development work with Pirellil.
In Bahrain, Caterham worked with the top flight’s tyre suppliers yesterday before in-form Mercedes and Williams take over their duties today.
The in-season tests are the third session of its kind to take place in BIC this year. In February and March, Sakhir was the venue for a pair of four-day pre-season tests that proved crucial to the teams’ preparations for the 2014 season.
