Gulf Weekly Digital interface improves customer service

Euro Motors has implemented the latest EICR (Easy Interface Card Reader) technology across its BMW Group showroom as part of the organisation’s on-going efforts to heighten its customer service experience.

When a customer walks into the showroom and inserts their Government National Identity Card, all of their personal information is immediately transferred onto the Euro Motors systems. It also brings up their past history showing if they have had previous relationships with the BMW Group importer – thus saving time which results in efficiency for both the customer and the staff.

Paul Yates, general manager of Euro Motors, said: “We are constantly look at developing all areas of our organisation and strive to make relevant investments into both our customer services as well as further enhancement of our facilities. EICR technology is a great example of our efforts to improve our customers experience as it rapidly improves operational efficiency, data consistency, data integrity while also saving valuable time for the user and customer.”

Eagerly anticipated
The most powerful Golf ever produced by Volkswagen – the new Golf R – is set to arrive in the Middle East this August.

Each original add-on to the eagerly-anticipated model has been specifically designed to enhance the popular compact sports car, its makers say.

Thomas Milz, managing director, Volkswagen Middle East, said: “The Golf R exudes absolute performance with its understated, yet strong and assured appearance. Its distinctive styling also accentuates the Golf’s innate sporty character, which will certainly appeal to people across the region.”

The model can be visually distinguished as a sports car by details such as bi-xenon headlights with newly designed LED daytime running lights; matte chrome door mirrors, dark red LED rear lights and two-branch exhaust system with four chrome tailpipes.

It also features a new bumper design with large air inlets, modified radiator grille, brake callipers in black and the R logo subtly emblazoned across the interior and exterior styling of the car.

The model also features the newly-designed five-spoke, 18-inch alloy ‘Cadiz’ black wheels; a keyless entry and starting system; park distance control that provides acoustic warning signals at the front and rear of the vehicle and Rear Assist rear view camera.

The interior boasts carbon touch inlays, sport seats in a fabric-Alcantara with decorative stitching in crystal grey; leather trimmed three-spoke sport steering wheel; automatic climate control; a radio-CD system with touch-screen and a mobile device interface with iPod/iPhone adapter cable.

The Golf R also offers the Discover Pro radio-navigation system and the Premium mobile phone interface, which consists of a set of new mobile online services as additional options.

“The standard model comes with a whole host of exceptional trims, detailing and features that make them highly attractive. People seeking fun and extreme driving have every reason to be excited about the model’s much anticipated Middle East debut,” said Mr Milz.

The all-new Golf R will be available in a range of styles and colours: solid, metallic, pearl effect and mother of pearl effect shades and a range of special colours including limestone grey metallic, lapiz blue metallic, deep black pearl effect and oryx white mother of pearl effect.

With a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox, the new Golf R completes the classic sprint in 5.0 seconds and can reach a top speed of 250kmph. Like all three previous Golf R models, the new vehicle also transfers its turbocharged engine power to the road via a permanent all-wheel drive system.

Its newly configured sport suspension system, with progressive steering and ESC Sport – can also now be fully deactivated for track driving. The 4MOTION system with a fifth generation Haldex coupling eliminates nearly all traction losses on the road.

Prices will be announced soon.
