La Mosaique Restaurant at the Crowne Plaza Bahrain hotel in Manama is hosting special offers during Ramadan. The Iftar buffet will be served from 6-8pm and costs BD11.950++ for adults and BD5.950++ for kids. For every Iftar dinner served, 500fils will be donated to a local charity. There will also be a special lunch for Eid with henna and face painting for kids. The buffet will cost BD13++ for adults and BD6.500++ for kids.

Seef Mall is hosting a month-long cultural festival in celebration of Ramadan. The West Wing of the mall will showcase popular and traditional Islamic customs, such as art, music, fashion and food. With a different theme focused on each week, the festival is currently hosting an Art & Music showcase that takes place from 7.30pm until midnight. It will offer visitors a close and personal experience of Arabic calligraphy and music. There will be an arts and crafts corner and music enthusiasts will also have the chance to learn the Oud, with daily lessons offered for free.

From tomorrow until July 16, there will be fashion shows of traditional festive attire showcased with a live Arabic band. These will take place daily at 10pm and 11pm.

Food is the theme from July 17 – 23. Visitors can enjoy an array of traditional Arabic savories and sweets. Visitors will also be treated to traditional Arabic tea and coffee served with dates.

Skyw@lk Café, located in the Marriott Executive Apartments, Manama, has a daily Iftar buffet. Ramee Grand Hotel & Spa, Seef, will be serving a nightly Arabic buffet during Ramadan at its Khaymat Al Seef tent. There will be a range of Middle Eastern specialties and beverages as well live music from a traditional Arabic band. The Iftar buffet will run from sunset until 9pm; the Ghabga buffet starts at 9pm and will be available until 2am. They are priced at BD12++ on weekdays and at BD14++ on weekends. Children between the ages four and 12 can enjoy the Iftar buffet at BD6++, while those below four can dine for free.

A Mediterranean-style buffet will be held in the Royal Golf Club’s Prego! restaurant every evening during Ramadan. Diners will be able to break their fast with appetizers such as herb-crumbed stuffed roasted peppers, salads, soups, pumpkin and feta cannelloni, lamb kleftico and moussaka and a selection of desserts including Moroccan pastries, baklawa and tiramisu.

Baharat at Le Mériden Bahrain City Centre is hosting an Iftar buffet every night during Ramadan. The focus is on traditional Arabic foods with a modern twist.

The Al Aali Shopping Complex, Seef, is hosting a Gergaoun and Ramadan Bazaar on Thursday from 8.30pm to 12.30am. There will be activities for adults and children. The event will also have a charitable element, with 20 per cent of all booking proceeds going to The Dreams Society, a charity working with terminally-ill children and those facing long-term illness. The event will include a Fraisa Show, a Gergaoun book reading, a children’s play corner featuring henna, face-painting and sand art, and a Gergaoun candy and nuts station.

A summer camp is running from today until August 31 at Adhari Park. ‘The Best Summer Camp in the World’ will offer children a chance to interact socially and take part in a variety of community projects. Entertainment includes video games, computers, arts and crafts, drama, music and sports.

The camp costs BD85 a month, including breakfast, and runs from Sundays to Thursdays from 8am to 2pm.

Transportation is also available at BD15. A donation of BD5 from every registration will be given to Sneha; a recreational centre for children with special needs run by the Indian Ladies Association.
