The Whisperer

GulfWeekly’s chief reporter Mai Al Khatib-Camille experienced in one foul swoop the good and bad of Bahrain’s eclectic population last week.

Upon returning to her car after a stint at the office she found she had a flat tyre. While one repugnant merchant claimed the incident was ‘God’s way of punishing her’ for leaving her car parked outside his shop, another – less hateful – man took matters into his own hands.

In the blistering sun, and without being asked, he located her jack and spare tyre and soon had her vehicle road ready.
The moral of the story is that even if some are bad, thankfully there are still good people out there too.
